What Changes are Anticipated for the 2014 Honda Fit?
The 2014 Honda Fit will be fully redesigned. It’ll launch the third generation of a car that defined small-on-the-outside, big-on-the-inside.
But Honda’s mum on what form the 2014 Fit will take. It could be another subcompact four-door hatchback. It could morph into a higher-riding all-wheel-drive mini crossover SUV.
An evolution of the 2009-2013 Fit hatchback would have a similar overall design but new styling with improved aerodynamics. Honda might attempt a less toy-like look though bolder contours and a more aggressive front end.
Some Honda watchers, however, say the third-generation Fit will be remade as a crossover SUV, something with the flair of the Nissan Juke or Mini Countryman. A Fit crossover would be wider and taller than the hatchback and could get a more squared-off shape. It would slot below the compact-class CR-V crossover in Honda’s lineup.
